Artist Biography

Creative Concept:

Au is motivated to create this collection of works as she finds elegance, beauty and balance within mathematical relationships and finds these work well with the technical challenges of clay. She views her process as similar to solving a mathematical equation. She gains satisfaction from discovering new pathways or proofs to new aesthetic experiences. Because her works are geometrically based, she finds working digitally allows her to create an infinite number of variations within an open field for play.
