Expect parody and brilliant observational humour when ‘Canton Standup in Macao’ hits The Venetian Macao on Dec. 3
(Macao, Nov. 9, 2016) – Jan Lamb, will bring his Jan Lamb Canton Standup in Macao show to the Cotai Arena at The Venetian® Macao on Dec. 3, 2016. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, Nov.10 at all Cotai Ticketing box offices.
Jan is a versatile talent who in addition to stand-up comedy has worked successfully in various areas of entertainment, including as a singer, an actor, lyricist, director, designer and screenwriter. He has appeared on Hong Kong’s Commercial Radio 2 since the 1990’s, hosting several successful programs, and is currently presenting “On a Clear Day”, a two-hour morning show which airs from Monday to Friday, with two other local personalities.
However, it is for his comedy that he has achieved most recognition, both with fellow actor and comedian Eric Kot, with whom he has successfully performed as part of a musical duo called “Softhard” for many years, and for his solo stand-up comedy shows, which routinely sell out. He has performed his Standup Comedy series since 2005, taking it to Guangzhou, Macao, Malaysia, Sydney, Melbourne, Toronto and San Francisco to great acclaim.
At the latest show in the series, audiences can expect hilarious one-liners based on the pop culture of both Cantonese language and Cantopop music, with themes including news and Vicissitudes of life. “Softhard” partner Eric Kot will also make a guest appearance.
