2017 Sandy Lam PRANAVA World Tour – Macao

Timeless star Lam gives the performance of a lifetime at The Venetian Macao

(Macao, March 4, 2017) – A packed Cotai Arena was held spellbound for more than two hours as Sandy Lam, one of Hong Kong’s most consummate and enduring entertainers, produced a tour de force performance for her 2017 Sandy Lam PRANAVA World Tour – Macao at The Venetian® Macao on Saturday night.

Joined on stage by world-class international musicians, Lam reached deep into her outstanding back catalogue of songs to give fans a ‘best of’ repertoire of classic love ballads and upbeat dance tracks, including hits from her groundbreaking album “Gaia”, for which she won four awards at the 24th Golden Melody Awards in 2013.

With hypnotic musical arrangements, stage design and choreography, 2017 Sandy Lam PRANAVA World Tour – Macao was based on a Sanskrit concept of “cosmic sound” and celestial energy. This was reflected during numbers themed around natural elements such as water, fire and wind. Lam also charmed in some of the 30 stunning outfits she had made specifically for the tour, at the cost of around USD200,000.

A true Hong Kong success story, Lam, whose parents are migrants from Shanghai, was a talent from an early age, going on to have huge hits with popular Cantonese songs “Gray", "Still", "Crazy" and one of the all-time best selling Mandarin albums, “Love, Sandy”. She has also enjoyed chart success singing in English and Japanese.

Most recently she appeared as a contestant on China’s hit TV singing competition ‘Singer 5’, and as a music industry veteran has won many awards in the course of her career, including ‘Best Regional Performing Female Artist’, ‘Best Album’, ‘Best Female Vocalist’, Asia Pacific’s ‘Most Outstanding Female Artist’, and an honorary music award for her contribution to the music industry.

2017 Sandy Lam PRANAVA World Tour kicked off with three sold-out concerts in Hong Kong last year, and has also visited Singapore and Shanghai.
