BOC Sands Lifestyle UnionPay Credit Card Launches in Macao
Sands China Ltd., BOC Macau Branch and UnionPay International Ltd. join forces to
offer local cardholders a range of premium privileges
(Macao, Oct. 27, 2021) – Sands China Ltd. in partnership with Bank of China Macau Branch and UnionPay International Ltd. today held a launch event for the BOC Sands Lifestyle UnionPay credit card. Targeting Macao residents, the BOC Sands Lifestyle UnionPay card offers cardholders an array of exclusive benefits and privileges all year round at Sands® Resorts Macao’s integrated resorts including hotel accommodation, dining, shopping, leisure and entertainment. Cardholders also have the opportunity to earn up to three times bonus points when they pay with the card at Sands Lifestyle participating retailers.
The co-branded credit card launch event was attended by Dr. Wilfred Wong, President, Sands China Ltd.; Ip Sio Kai, Deputy General Manager, Bank of China Macau Branch; Chan Hio Peng, Deputy General Manager, Bank of China Macau Branch; Dave Sun, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Sands China Ltd.; Virginia Lam, Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, Sands China Ltd. and Cai Chun Yan, Deputy General Manager, Bank of China Macau Branch. Michelle Shao, General Manager of UnionPay International Hong Kong Branch and Cui Ying, Representative of Card Centre of Bank of China attended via video conferencing.
With the launch of the BOC Sands Lifestyle UnionPay credit card, Sands China Ltd. will continue to support the recovery of the tourism industry in Macao, helping to further build it as a diversified world centre of tourism and leisure. Through BOC Macau’s comprehensive financial services and UnionPay International’s extensive payment network, cardholders can enjoy convenient payment and exclusive privileges.
The BOC Sands Lifestyle UnionPay credit card is offered in two tiers, Diamond UnionPay and Black Diamond UnionPay. The design of the card incorporates iconic elements of Sands Resorts Macao, showcasing the charm of ‘Little Europe’: British-themed The Londoner® Macao, French-style The Parisian Macao and The Venetian® Macao, influenced by Italy’s ‘City of Water’. Macao residents can apply for the credit card at any BOC Macau sub-branch or via the BOC mobile banking app. Cardholders can enjoy a wide range of benefits and privileges*, including:
- Welcome Offer – New cardholders can earn up to MOP 300 Rewards Dollars when they spend MOP 3,800 or above within the first two months of card issuance and can receive a complimentary stay at The Parisian Macao by spending MOP 48,000 or above with the card at Sands Resorts Macao participating retailers in the first three months.
- Attractive Discounts – Up to 20% discount on hotel bookings, restaurants, spas, gyms and entertainment (teamLab SuperNature Macao / Aqua World / Qube / Qube Kingdom) at Sands Resorts Macao; exclusive promotions and offers; discounts on selected shows and concerts.
- Elite Services – Early check-in and late check-out (with VIP lounge access); complimentary room upgrade; up to five hours free parking within Sands Resorts Macao; free access to airport VIP lounges; invitations to private events and parties.
- Points Rewards – Three times bonus points for spending at participating retailers at Sands Resorts Macao. Every 200 points can be converted into MOP 1.
- Convenient Payment – Waiver of annual fee and overseas transaction fees; adding the credit card for mobile payments on popular Mainland China takeaway, travel and shopping apps.
