'RLI Most Innovative Retail & Tourism Destination 2022'

British-themed mall wins major accolade in prestigious international industry awards

(Macao, Nov. 9, 2022) – Shoppes at Londoner, the upscale British-style mall within The Londoner^® Macao, has been honoured as the 'Most Innovative Retail & Tourism Destination 2022' at the prestigious 'Global RLI Awards 2022'. The grand award ceremony was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Nov. 2, allowing for exposure of retail offerings in Macao to industry leaders and brands not yet in Asia on the international stage.

The criteria for this award are to acknowledge the most outstanding contribution to the retail and tourism sector over the past year and reward a project that has created an extraordinary experience for tourists and tenants alike.

Rebranded and expanded from the previous Shoppes at Cotai Central, Shoppes at Londoner recreates an authentic London street scene and interprets The Londoner Macao's vision of 'Bringing the Best of London to Macao'. Guests can explore more than 150 world-renowned brands across 600,000 square feet of retail space, including top luxury brands, international fashion brands, family fun boutiques and innovative entertainment options. The themed retail complex also innovatively combines shopping experience with visitor attraction by featuring meticulously designed details and photogenic spots, such as the Victorian-era feature elevator and replicas of Greater London Blue Plaques. Joining Shoppes at Venetian, Shoppes at Four Seasons and Shoppes at Parisian, Shoppes at Londoner reaffirms Sands Shoppes Macao's pledge to create one-of-a-kind, truly immersive experience and further optimises its strong retail portfolio.

The judging panel is a group of leading industry experts who review eligible submissions and score them confidentially and inform the RLI Awards team.
