The koolest mega music festival of the year, taking place in November
(Macao, Oct. 11, 2023) – Organised by Chessman, Macao International Pop Music Festa "KoolTai MACAO MUSIC FES. 2023" is taking place at The Venetian Macao on Nov 11 & 12. Presenting a powerful line-up from England, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, music lovers are in for a memorable time at this borderless music festival. Tickets will go on sale from Oct. 11 via Cotai Ticketing.
KoolTai MACAO MUSIC FES. 2023 is not only the first international music festival held by Chessman, but is also the first mega music festival officially launched and produced by a Macao-based local production team. It promises to be the Koolest musical festival of the year with over half of the line-up making their first live appearance in Macao.
Day 1 of the festival features eight bands across a variety of musical styles, including rock & roll, jazz, and bossa nova. The day's headlining band is Suede, and it will be the first time the noted Brit-pop band has performed live in Macao, the other headlining act is internationally known bossa nova musician, Lisa Ono. Other exciting performers include Schoolgirl Byebye from Mainland China, Hong Kong-based rock and blues musician Jason Kui, and rock band Supper Moment also from Hong Kong, as well as three Macao-based bands Lavy, SCAMPER, and Daze in White.
Pop features heavily on Day 2 led by the two headliners of the day, the world-renowned British pop singer Jessie J, and the Grammy-winning R&B performer Corinne Bailey Rae. Others on the line-up include singer-songwriter Joanna Wang from Taiwan; Malaysian singer-songwriter Zee Avi, who is also the winner of a Golden Horse Award for Best Original Film Song; J-pop singer Koresawa; Thai band getsunova; Hong Kong's popular poetic pop duo, per se; and singer-songwriter Winifai from Macao.
There will also be food and drinks available for sale on both days to round out the festival vibes.
KoolTai MACAO MUSIC FES. 2023 is taking place the same week as two annual tourism events, "Macau Food Festival'' and the "Macau Grand Prix", which the organiser believes is the ideal time to stage the festival thanks to the number of international guests planning to travel to Macao that week.
