A European Celebration
Get into the holiday mood early with three spellbinding sweet indulgences that each in their own way are an homage to Christmas traditions. Brasserie is presenting a Bûche de Noël or yule log, traditionally shared with family, an airy sponge cake is partnered with a delightful combination of cinnamon ganache, gingerbread crunch, almond dacquoise, and orange passion fruit compote. An elegant gift for that special someone is the inspiration for The Gift Box from Churchill's Table, containing edible surprises galore, including pecan crunch, almond biscuit, cranberry gel, pear sorbet and mascarpone espuma. While a Christmas tree ornament is the sweet vision for the Mont Fuji Christmas Ball from Hiro by Hiroshi Kagata, a seasonal chestnut puree complemented by vanilla Chantilly, offset by black currant compote and adorned with crispy meringue. The desserts are available from Dec.11-31.

Another essential part of the holiday season and what makes it so magical are celebratory meals and this year a selection of Sands Resorts Macao's restaurants will present traditional and creative European Christmas and New Year menus featuring inviting and unique dishes.

At Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill diners can enjoy a delicious Turkey Wellington with cranberry compote, fine herb salad, red wine jus, and Périgord black truffle; and Christmas pudding with brandy sabayon, as part of the four-course set dinner menu available on Dec. 24 and 25. A trio of delights are being presented by Churchill's Table and Churchill's Table Boutique. For home entertainers there is the takeaway British Christmas classic, Pineapple and honey glazed ham, which comes with creamy potato puree and gravy for a gourmet meal for four persons. There is also a Festive Classic Afternoon Tea featuring Insta-worthy sweet items such as the Santa's Hat (Choux puff, strawberry cream, spices) and Christmas Ball (Pecan tart, cinnamon, whipped ganache). Completing the edible temptations is the perfect gift for foodie friends, a Festive Hamper, with three to choose from, all filled with delectable goodies, including gingerbread cookies, a Christmas special edition chocolate gift box and more.

Winter traditions shine bright at contemporary Portuguese restaurant Chiado, which is showcasing a refined version of the popular salt cod dish, Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá with quail egg and cod brandade as part of the five-course Christmas menu available on Dec. 24 and 25. Taking guests to Paris to enjoy the seasonal favourite foie gras is the Brasserie with its decadent Seared duck foie gras mille-feuille with flambee apple, gingerbread toast and Grand Marnier caramel sauce, part of its four-course New Year's set dinner from Dec. 30, 2023 to Jan. 1, 2024.

Other signature restaurants offering special holiday menus include, Jiang Nan by Jereme Leung, Lotus Palace, Le Buffet, Copa Steakhouse, Hiro by Hiroshi Kagata, Pin Yue Xuan, and La Chine.

Completing this festive feast are adorable Christmas-themed petit fours, which will be served at Chiado, La Chine, and Pin Yue Xuan from Dec.11-31.

The Bewitching Light Up Macao 2023
Part of the appeal of this special time of the year are all the shimmering decorative lights that create a bewitching ambience and bring warmth and joy. Sands China Ltd., as an official partner of "Light Up Macao 2023", organised by the Macao Government Tourism Office, is illuminating the picturesque Coloane Village this winter. Working with renowned Japanese artist, Shin Tanaka, the village's key attractions, including Rua dos Navegantes, Coloane Pier, Largo do Bazar, Coloane Library and Pensão Coloane No.1 Forecourt, will be transformed into a beautiful play of light and shadow, guiding visitors on a unique journey that celebrates Macao's rich history and culture.
