All new 3D Light and Sound Spectacular, amazing Eiffel Tower Grand Illumination Show and colourful Chinese New Year decorations thrill huge crowds
(Macao, Jan. 20, 2017) – Sands Resorts Macao welcomed the Year of the Rooster in spectacular style at an opening ceremony today to usher in the new year and launch the all new seasonal 3D Light and Sound Spectacular - ‘Seasons of Prosperity’ for Chinese New Year. The light show will run every 30 minutes between 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., from now until Feb. 14, 2017.
The 3D Light and Sound Spectacular - “Seasons of Prosperity,” which beams Chinese New Year images on the façade of The Venetian® Macao, is the resort hotel’s annual celebration to welcome Chinese New Year in style for all the family. Set to be one of the biggest attractions this holiday season, it takes viewers on a remarkable journey through Chinese culture.
The show was created by Australian company Artists in Motion, who created the Christmas light show for The Venetian Macao and also nightly light show on The Parisian Macao’s Eiffel Tower. Featuring state-of-the-art digital video mapping technology the projection covers 43,000 square feet on the front of The Venetian Macao. With precise pixel mapping techniques, Artists in Motion was able to integrate the existing architectural elements of the façade with this new technology. Visitors to The Venetian can view the show from multiple viewing positions in front of the resort.
Meanwhile The Parisian Macao’s Eiffel Tower will also feature a spectacular Chinese New Year Grand Illumination Show, which will take place every 15 minutes between 6:15 p.m. to midnight, from now until Feb. 14, 2017. Including stunning Chinese New Year red-gold and pink-white themes and “starshine” motif using over 6,600 RGB colour mixing pixels, this show will add to the festive atmosphere along the Cotai Strip.
There is also an array of wonderfully colourful Chinese New Year decorations throughout the outdoor lagoon area of The Venetian Macao, and around The Parisian Macao’s Eiffel Tower and Porte Cochère area, including lanterns, floral displays, tree lights and fans.
