Travel service giant’s ‘Top Restaurants for Chinese Travellers’ ranking list goes out to 250 million Ctrip members

(Macao, June 8, 2017) – Leading China travel service provider Ctrip's independent gourmet brand The Ctrip Gourmet List has honoured 11 Sands Resorts Macao restaurants in its most recent ranking report.

The Ctrip Gourmet List evaluates restaurants in three award categories: “Ctrip Star (Three Star, Two Star, One Star) – Top Restaurants Best Reputation Gourmets Preferred”, “Ctrip Select – Boutique Restaurants Classy Recommendation” and  “Ctrip Local Favorite – Local Specialist Popular Restaurants”.

This year it listed four restaurants at The Venetian Macao: Michelin-starred Indian restaurant Golden Peacock (Ctrip One Star), Portofino (Ctrip Select), Canton (Ctrip Select) and North (Ctrip Local Favorite); Copa Steakhouse at Sands Macao (Ctrip Select); three restaurants at Four Seasons Hotel Macao, Cotai Strip: Zi Yat Heen (Ctrip One Star), Belcanção (Ctrip Select) and Windows Restaurant (Ctrip Select); and two Sheraton Grand Macao restaurants: Bene (Ctrip Select) and Xin (Ctrip Select), and the St. Regis bar (Ctrip Select) at The St. Regis, Cotai Strip.

China's largest online travel agency, Ctrip launched the prestigious ranking system after research revealed that the availability of good, authentic restaurants was a primary priority among travellers. Its popularity has adding significant value to the brand and is in the process of being extended to 55 cities and 7,000 restaurants.

The Ctrip Gourmet List is selected by around 15,000 food critics, 500 professional appraisers and Ctrip’s editorial team, most of who are China-based.
