Takes Place at The Venetian Macao

'Body-immersive' art exhibition officially
launches with dynamic new art installations

(Macao, May 26, 2023) – teamLab SuperNature Macao, a permanent interactive art experience at The Venetian^® Macao's Cotai Expo, held its grand opening ceremony on May 26, marking the official launch of the landmark project presented by The Venetian Macao and Tokyo-based international art collective teamLab.

In the spirit of celebration, three new artwork spaces^1*, Floating Flower Garden: Flowers and I are of the Same Root, the Garden and I are One and Massless Clouds Between Sculpture and Life, as well as EN TEA HOUSE, will be opened from June 1 onwards to bring greater surprise and elevate the visitor experience. In addition, the Light Sculpture series will reveal its major renewal, and Autonomous Abstraction, Continuous Phenomena from the Universe to the Self will replace the existing Life is the Light that Resonates in the Dark.

Officiating at the grand opening ceremony were Dr. Wilfred Wong, President of Sands China Ltd.; Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office; Cheang Kai Meng, Vice President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government; Yang Yi, Deputy Director of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR; Elaine Wong, Senior Manager of the Promotional Activities and Development of Conventions and Exhibitions Department of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute; Grant Chum, Chief Operating Officer of Sands China Ltd.; and Toshiyuki Inoko, founder of teamLab.

Located at The Venetian^® Macao's Cotai Expo, teamLab SuperNature Macao is an extremely complex, three-dimensional interactive space with varying elevations that spans over 5,000 square metres and is comprised of enormous 8-metre-tall works by art collective teamLab. A 'body immersive' art space centred around a group of artworks, it explores new perceptions of the world and the continuity between humans and nature. Visitors can change the nature of the works in real time, directly affecting artwork spaces through synergistic interaction. Previous visual states can never reoccur or be replicated, making no two visits the same.
