The Golden Peacock and Zi Yat Heen Receive Michelin Stars
Six Recognised by world's top restaurant guide for superb cuisine
(Macao, January 27, 2021) – The Venetian® Macao's The Golden Peacock and Four Seasons Hotel Macao's Zi Yat Heen have been awarded one-star ratings in the Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2021.
The Golden Peacock was the first Indian restaurant in Asia to be awarded a Michelin star, and has now received a one-star rating for eight consecutive years. Senior Chef Justin Paul has developed a traditional yet contemporary menu offering signature dishes such as Kandari Murgh Tikka, featuring organic chicken, pomegranate, baby beetroot, Kashmiri chilli, curds and cashew nuts, and Junglee Khumb Kebab, with assorted wild mushrooms, amul cheese, apricot and enoki mushroom crisp.
The Golden Peacock prides itself on complete authenticity, from its recipes and techniques to its ingredients and kitchenware, all of which are imported directly from India.
Meanwhile Chinese restaurant Zi Yat Heen at Four Seasons Hotel Macao has been awarded a Michelin star for the 12th consecutive year. Executive Chinese Chef Charles Cheung, who possesses more than 40 years of culinary experience, applies a culinary philosophy of preserving traditional Cantonese cuisine while subtly refining it, creating innovative and healthful new ways to experience it.
Tom Connolly, Senior Vice President of Food and Beverage Operations, Sands China Ltd. said: "We are honoured to have again been recognised by Michelin for our ongoing efforts to make Sands Resorts Macao the home of exceptional dining. Whether Indian, Cantonese or other cuisines, authenticity is at the heart of everything we do. Huge gratitude goes to our brilliant Food and Beverage team, which works hard to ensure we offer the best possible experience for our guests, from the food to the service and ambience. It is incredibly rewarding to have been again endorsed in this way."
