The Parisian Macao Launches 'Joie De Vivre at The Parisian'

Includes art and photography exhibitions, children's art workshops, and specialty desserts that all showcase the French art of living

(Macao, Aug. 19, 2024) – The Parisian Macao is launching 'Joie De Vivre at The Parisian', a series of exciting art-focused events taking place from Aug. 16 to Nov. 16. Featuring art and photography exhibitions, children's art workshops, and limited-time pink heart-shaped waffles, the campaign invites guests to dive into a sea of creativity while basking in the romantic, free-spirited nature of French aesthetics and lifestyle. Through this supportive promotion with local communities and artists, and through the hosting of art exhibitions and activities, Sands China Ltd. aims to promote the 'tourism + culture' initiative and support tourism diversity in Macao.

Explore the Art of Photography
The Macau Art For All Society (AFA) is presenting 'Datascape - Post Photographic Art in Digital Era' Solo Exhibition by Kun Wang Tou from now until Sept. 30 on Level 3, Shoppes at Parisian. The exhibition showcases this budding local artist's exploration of the ever-evolving realm of image-making in the digitally saturated era. Six stores at Shoppes at Parisian have been transformed into exhibition galleries, each unfolding as a distinct chapter within the overarching narrative of 'Datascape', evoking introspection about data overload and how to reshape the relationship between humanity and nature, humanity and the world, and humanity and data in the current era. During the exhibition, Kun will be onsite creating art, allowing visitors to interact directly with the artist.

The 'Sables D'Or' photography exhibition is also being held on Level 3, Shoppes at Parisian, presented by Sands China's Visual Media department. This exhibition showcases a series of iconic architectural photographs of Sands China's properties, offering guests a window into the company's robust presence in Macao over time. The exhibition runs from now until Sept.30.

Children's Art Workshops
Local full-time artist Lai Sio Kit has been invited to take on the role of instructor for 16 children's art workshops. These workshops aim to ignite the love of art in children while crafting wonderful memories at The Parisian Macao. The Parapluies d'Art' – Umbrella Art workshop - through fun teaching methods, children will be guided using brushes, oil pastels and line drawing to paint on umbrellas, complemented by captivating stories that perfectly blend education and entertainment. The Lumières Créatives – Lampshade Creation workshop focuses on Japanese crafting techniques, guiding children to cut, assemble, and paste coloured paper to create silhouette lamp art that unlocks the power of creativity.
