Sands China Announces Bonus and Salary Increase for Team Members
(Macao, Dec. 31, 2024) – Sands China Ltd. (HKEx: 1928) is paying a discretionary bonus to all eligible full-time team members on Jan. 27, 2025, in recognition of their contributions in 2024.In addition, the company is increasing the salaries of eligible team members effective March 1, 2025, benefiting 99 percent of Sands China’s 27,000 team members.
On Jan. 27, a discretionary bonus equivalent to one month’s pay will be paid to non-management team members who have been with the company for one year or more. For management team members, the discretionary bonus will be paid based on their individual performance, the company’s Management Incentive Plan and financial results. Team members who have worked for Sands China for less than one year will receive prorated bonuses if they joined the company before Oct. 1, 2024, and are still employed on the bonus pay out date.
The company’s salary increase takes effect March 1, 2025. Eligible full-time team members earning monthly salaries up to MOP 16,000 (before tax) will receive a pay rise of MOP 600, resulting in a salary increase of between 3.8 and 5.0 per cent. Eligible full-time team members earning monthly salaries above MOP 16,000 (before tax) will receive a 2.5 per cent pay rise.
In a message to team members, Grant Chum, chief executive officer and executive director of Sands China Ltd., said: “As we look back at another successful year for Sands China, we can all be proud of what we have achieved together as a team. Some highlights from the year include the successful launch of The Londoner Grand; upgrades to The Venetian Arena; various cultural and tourism projects in the revitalisation districts, including the entrepreneurship recruitment programme for Rua Das Estalagens; hosting numerous large-scale MICE functions, entertainment performances, international sports events, and cultural and artistic activities; achieving a Top 1% ranking in S&P Global’s ESG assessment; and announcing a multi-year collaboration with the NBA to bring The NBA China Games to Macao. These accomplishments are a testament to your hard work and dedication. In light of these achievements and your valuable contributions, I am delighted to announce a discretionary bonus and salary increase.”
