Presented by Sands China the two-day event highlighted exciting new opening Londoner Grand and its No.1 Ambassador G Bear
(Macao, May 31, 2025) – Sands China Ltd. has just concluded the two-day Londoner Grand – Macao Showcase 2025 in Seoul, Korea. The series of events took place on May 29 and 30, and included a spectacular gala dinner, an informative media luncheon, and a leisurely round of golf. All of the activities were designed to showcase Macao as a diversified tourism destination of cultural, entertainment, and culinary excellence, through a focus on Londoner Grand and its debonair ambassador, G Bear.
Londoner Grand is more than a hotel, it’s an exclusive resort within a resort that has the scale to be inclusive. The Londoner Grand experience has been designed for travellers who expect nothing less than the best – the A-listers who define luxury on their own terms. With 2,405 rooms and suites, and 18 different room types, from 42 square metre rooms to expansive two-bedroom pool suites, Londoner Grand is where refinement, personal touches and memorable moments come together, with exceptional moments crafted by the hotel’s fiercely trained A-team.
Integral to Londoner Grand’s unique story is G Bear, Londoner Grand’s No.1 Ambassador and Chief Experience Officer. G Bear personifies the brand’s warmth and whimsy; his priority as leader of the A-team is to make sure every guest feels like the A-lister that they are, and every visitor feels welcomed in Macao.
Dr. Wilfred Wong, Executive Vice Chairman of Sands China Ltd. said, “Sands China is thrilled to have had the opportunity to present Londoner Grand at our Macao Showcase 2025 to a diverse and influential audience in Seoul. Korea is a very important market for us, and for Macao, and we hope this was reflected through the activities that we presented here in the past two days. Our aim was twofold: to introduce our newest resort brand to the Korean market, and to elevate awareness of Macao as a world-class destination for business and leisure by emphasising its rich cultural, gastronomic and lifestyle experiences. The launch of Londoner Grand marks a bold new chapter in Macao’s luxury hospitality landscape.”
Start of a Whisper Gala Dinner
The showcase began with a gala dinner on May 29 with around 120 guests in attendance, including Macao government officials, travel and hospitality professionals, business partners, media and influencers. Upon arrival guests were greeted by a regal blue and gold reception area – the colours of Londoner Grand – and a G Bear gin bar. There was also a gallery of portraits with G Bear and his famous friends. The cocktail reception was followed by an impressive and unforgettable dinner highlighting Korea’s celebrity chef, Choi Hyun-seok, best known for his appearance on Netflix’s hit show Culinary Class Wars. Each course was punctuated by captivating entertainment, including a headline performance by K-pop superstar, Rain. The dinner show featured the unexpected appearance of G Bear, adding a quirky twist to the evening.
From Whisper to Legend
A media luncheon held on May 30 welcomed around 40 media guests from Korea with a full introduction of Macao, Londoner Grand and G Bear. The media guests were treated to a specially curated four-course meal along with a series of entertaining performances. The star of the luncheon, Londoner Grand’s charismatic ambassador, G Bear, was an instant social media hit.
The Legendary Swing
Rounding out the celebratory showcase activities was a golfing event for around 50 guests. G Bear kept players hydrated with his G Bear Energy Station, and three professional players joined the social occasion, including LPGA star, Ryu So-yeon.
