Sands Lifestyle Hosts Exclusive Four-hands Event to Celebrate the Opening of Londoner Grand
First Celebrity Chef Series event of the year features Chef Darren Cheung
of Pin Yue Xuan and Chef Du Jianqing of Amazing Chinese Cuisine

(Macao, June 11, 2025) – Sands Lifestyle is kicking off its Celebrity Chef Series this year with the ‘Premium Chaozhou and Cantonese Cuisine’ event to celebrate the official opening of Londoner Grand. From June 12 to 14, Executive Chef Darren Cheung of Michelin-selected Pin Yue Xuan at The Venetian® Macao will welcome Du Jianqing, chef and founder of one-Michelin-starred and Black Pearl three-diamond Amazing Chinese Cuisine restaurant in Shanghai, presenting dishes that highlight the best of Chaozhou and Cantonese cuisines at Hampton Court, located on Level 2 of Londoner Grand. 

A rising star in the Cantonese culinary world, Cheung upholds time-honoured cooking traditions while adding an innovative touch, with a focus on top-quality ingredients. Prior to joining Pin Yue Xuan, he had worked at several Michelin-starred restaurants in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao. He also holds a Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Certificate from the famed French culinary school, giving him an international perspective. Under his leadership, Pin Yue Xuan has been recognised as a Michelin selected restaurant for a number of consecutive years.

Chef Du has a solid foundation in Chaozhou and Cantonese cuisines, and has been focusing on fine dining for more than 30 years in Shanghai. In 2015, he founded his own high-end Chaozhou restaurant, Amazing Chinese Cuisine, which has so far retained Michelin one-star and Black Pearl three-diamond rating for eight consecutive years. Du is committed to sourcing premium ingredients from the Chaoshan region, as well as around the world, to create characteristically light and delicate Chaozhou dishes, from the classics to the creative. 

During the exclusive four-hands dinner, the two celebrated chefs will take turns presenting eight exceptional dishes. Highlights include Du’s Chaozhou flavour fish maw and Cheung’s Baked yellow tiger grouper with herb sauce.
