New Benefits for Sands China Team Members Welcoming Newborns
Six-day paid Child Care Leave and flexible work arrangements foster family-friendly workplace
(Macao, Sept. 1, 2025)– Sands China Ltd. put a series of family-friendly benefits into effect Monday to support team members welcoming newborns, reinforcing the company’s support to their families and its commitment to creating a caring and inclusive work environment that promotes family harmony.
All eligible full-time team members can enjoy the new benefits. Team members can get up to six days of paid Child Care Leave, which can be taken for medical appointments or vaccinations within the first year after childbirth. Team members expecting or having recently welcomed a newborn may apply for a “Parenthood Support Shift,” which provides regular work shifts without rotation and up to 90 consecutive daily one-hour exemptions from work to balance childcare and career.

To further strengthen our family support to them, we are introducing the new Parenthood Support Shift and a range of family-friendly measures for new parents. These initiatives help foster a compassionate and understanding work environment, enabling our team members to balance career and family responsibilities as they embrace this new chapter in life – while achieving a mutually beneficial situation for both employees and the company.”
Sands China continually strives to promote family harmony for team members. Women with at least one year of service with the company are eligible for 70 days of paid maternity leave and men can take five consecutive days of paid paternity leave, to be taken within 30 days after the birth of their child. Over the years, Sands China has consistently fostered a family-friendly workplace for new parents by offering nursing rooms, dedicated lockers and parking spaces in the back-of-house areas, priority seating for pregnant employees on shuttle buses, and a range of parenting activities and educational workshops. The company also presents baby gifts to employees welcoming new additions to their families, sharing warmth and blessings.
