NETS, SUNS, 10 NBA LEGENDS AND WNBA CHAMPION HINES-ALLEN TO
PARTICIPATE IN FAN AND COMMUNITY EVENTS DURING 
NBA CHINA GAMES 2025 PRESENTED BY TAOBAO 88VIP


Macao, Oct.7, 2025– 
The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Sands China today announced the 10 NBA legends who will attend The NBA China Games 2025 presented by Taobao 88VIP, which will feature the Brooklyn Nets and the Phoenix Suns playing preseason games on Friday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. CST and Sunday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. CST at The Venetian Arena in Macao, as well as a series of community impact events organized by NBA Cares and Sands Cares in conjunction with the games.
 

 



The 10 NBA legends – Vince Carter, Kevin Garnett, Tim Hardaway Sr., Jeremy Lin, Stephon Marbury, Shawn Marion, Yao Ming, Shaquille O’Neal, Mitch Richmond and Deron Williams – will join Nets and Suns players and WNBA champion Myisha Hines-Allen (Dallas Wings) at fan events, youth basketball clinics and community impact programs throughout the week.  Below is an overview of the community impact events, where volunteers from the Sands Cares Ambassador program will provide assistance to the participants:

•   On Oct. 8, Richmond will visit Lou Hau High School to host a basketball clinic for students and physical education teachers focused on the fundamentals and core values of basketball.  NBA Cares and Sands Cares will also donate basketballs and equipment to support the school’s basketball program.
•   On Oct. 9, students and teachers from the local community will attend the Nets and Suns team practices at The Venetian Arena and participate in a basketball clinic and health kit packing project featuring players from the Nets and Suns. 
•   On Oct. 10, Hardaway Sr. will visit the Pou Lei Centre of Fuhong Society of Macao to pack and deliver lunchboxes for elderly residents, the disabled, and families in need.
•   On Oct. 11, 100 participants from the local community will attend the first-ever NBA House in Macao, an interactive fan event and immersive basketball experience celebrating the convergence of the game, music, fashion and technology at The Venetian Macao Hall A, where they will have the opportunity to meet Marion, Suns mascot GO the Gorilla, and the Nets and Suns dunk teams. 
•   On Oct. 12, Hines-Allen and Williams will lead a Her Time To Play clinic and exhibition game at NBA House for 30 teenage girls from the local community.

•   Vince Carter – Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, eight-time NBA All-Star, 2000 NBA Slam Dunk champion and 1998-99 NBA Rookie of the Year.
•   Kevin Garnett – Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, 2003-04 NBA MVP, 2008 NBA champion and 15-time NBA All-Star.
•   Tim Hardaway Sr. – Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee and five-time NBA All-Star.
•   Myisha Hines-Allen – 2019 WNBA champion, 2020 All-WNBA Second Team selection and current Dallas Wings forward.
•   Jeremy Lin – 2019 NBA champion and 2020 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) All-Star.
•   Stephon Marbury – Two-time NBA All-Star and three-time CBA champion.
•   Shawn Marion – 2011 NBA champion and four-time NBA All-Star. 
•   Yao Ming – Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, eight-time NBA All-Star, 2001 CBA MVP and 2002 CBA champion.
•   Shaquille O’Neal – Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, 1999-2000 NBA MVP, four-time NBA champion and 15-time NBA All-Star.
•   Mitch Richmond – Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, 2002 NBA champion, six-time NBA All-Star and 1988-89 NBA Rookie of the Year.
•   Deron Williams – Three-time NBA All-Star and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee as a member of 2008 USA Basketball Men’s National Team.
