DreamWorks Animation’s “The Boss Baby” Premieres at The Venetian Macao

Guests and celebrities attend exclusive screening of hilarious new 3D animated movie at The Venetian Theatre

(Macao, April 1, 2017) – Sands Resorts Macao hosted a movie premiere and red carpet event for DreamWorks Animation’s latest 3D animated comedy-adventure blockbuster, “The Boss Baby” at The Venetian® Macao on Saturday.

The premiere at the Venetian Theatre marked Hong Kong and Macao’s first screening of the movie, and saw Hong Kong celebrity guests in attendance including Grace Chan, Bob Lam, Glen Lee, Eileen Yeow and Tsui Wing together with their families. Celebrities from Macao included Soler, Josie Ho, Hedy Kou, Cherry Ho, Sophia Lay, Priscilla Chao and Ken Sou.

As part of Sands Resorts Macao’s corporate social responsibility commitment, there were also about 600 attendees invited from 14 local community associations.

Directed by Tom McGrath (Madagascar), the all-star voice cast of “The Boss Baby” includes the renowned Alec Baldwin, who also portrayed Makunga the Lion in “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa”, and St. North in “Rise of the Guardians” in the title role, with veteran actor Steve Buscemi as the villainous Francis E. Francis, CEO of Puppy Co. and Jimmy Kimmel, who recently hosted the 89th Academy Awards, and Lisa Kudrow, best known for her role as Phoebe in “Friends” as Boss Baby’s parents. Miles Bakshi and Tobey Maguire also star.

Described as “a delightful blend of clever and tender that’s certain to tickle audiences of all ages and stages” (The Hollywood Reporter), “The Boss Baby” is the latest and biggest outing yet from DreamWorks Animation.

Destined to become as adored as previous hits “Shrek”, “Kung-Fu Panda”, “Madagascar”, and “How To Train Your Dragon”, “The Boss Baby” is a hugely entertaining and broadly appealing original comedy for all ages, telling the story of how a new baby's arrival impacts a family from the point of view of a wildly imaginative seven-year-old, Tim. In the movie, the suit-wearing, briefcase-carrying baby pairs up with his brother to stop the dastardly plot of the CEO of Puppy Co.

“The Boss Baby” premiere is the latest addition to the interactive DreamWorks Experience at Sands Resorts Macao, which includes Asia’s largest indoor frozen wonderland, Kung Fu Panda Adventure Ice World with the DreamWorks All-Stars, at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo Hall F from March 16 to July 9, 2017. The unique event sees thousands of blocks of multi-coloured ice skilfully carved into amazingly detailed sculptures by a team of expert craftsmen from Harbin in northern China. This year’s show includes a host of colourful DreamWorks Animation characters from “Kung Fu Panda”, “Madagascar”, “Shrek”, “How To Train Your Dragon”, “The Croods” and “Trolls”, vibrantly brought to life with dazzling lights and stunning sound effects.

Other exciting DreamWorks Experience options at Sands Resorts Macao include Po’s Kung Fu Feast – Character Breakfast with the DreamWorks All-Stars; DreamWorks Experience Birthday Parties; DreamWorks Experience All-Star Parade and more.
