Sands Resorts Macao Participates in the
'10th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo'

Themed zones and pavilions, business opportunities, attractive products
and diverse experiences staged to boost tourism economy

(Macao, Sept. 23, 2022) – Sands^® Resorts Macao is participating in the 10th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE), being held at The Venetian^® Macao's Cotai Expo from Sept. 23 to 25, 2022. Its involvement in the event's anniversary milestone reflects Sands Resorts Macao's ongoing commitment to the Macao Government Tourism Office's various 'tourism+' initiatives, and the goal of building Macao into a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.

A Decade of Achievement and Progress
Established in 2013, MITE is the only professional exhibition of international tourism in Macao. In 2021, the event gained accreditation from the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) as an 'UFI Approved International Event', demonstrating its international influence, professionalism and positive impact in fostering interchange throughout the global tourism industry.

Over the years, through professional, market-oriented, internationalised and brand-centred operations, MITE has effectively connected the tourism industries of the Mainland and international markets. In the process it has become a significant platform for exhibitors, buyers and related partners to help Macao promote the development of tourism in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This year, under the theme 'Cheers for 10th MITE', the event will roll out online activities and offline exhibitions featuring various MICE, e-commerce, cultural and creative industries and sports, to invigorate the tourism economy.

Sands Resorts Macao in the Tourism Spotlight
As the venue for the 10th MITE, Cotai Expo at The Venetian Macao offers an exhibition floor covering about 23,000 square metres, accommodating 830 booths and several themed pavilions, such as the Lusofonia Pavilion, the Macao Wedding Destination Pavilion and the Gastronomy Pavilion. Sands Resorts Macao's Destination Marketing and Sales teams will also participate in the three-day event to meet buyers and partners and navigate business opportunities.

The 10th MITE will have a presence on Cotai Strip for the first time, with booths representing the city's six integrated leisure enterprises. At the Sands Resorts Macao booth, large LED screens will allow visitors to explore its array of industry-leading tourism products, including European-themed integrated resorts The Venetian Macao, The Parisian Macao and The Londoner^® Macao.

Another highlight is the 'City of Gastronomy' culinary demonstrations to be held at the Gastronomy Pavilion. Renowned chefs from five UNESCO 'Creative Cities of Gastronomy' – Macao, Chengdu, Shunde, Yangzhou and Huai'an – will offer visitors a sample of what makes their destinations so deliciously distinctive. On Sept. 24 and 25, Darren Cheung, Executive Chef of The Venetian Macao's premium Cantonese restaurant Pin Yue Xuan, will wow with two of his signature dishes – 'Braised streaky pork with preserved cabbage', and 'Crispy sea cucumber filled with Iberico pork with salted fish', giving a flavour of the culinary excellence available at the more than 150 international restaurants at Sands Resorts Macao.

This year also marks the 15th anniversary of The Venetian Macao, Sands Resorts Macao's flagship integrated resort and must-visit destination in Macao.
