Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at The Londoner Macao

The internationally renowned chef hosted an exclusive event,
culinary masterclass and inspiring conversation with young local chefs


(Macao, Jan. 15, 2024) – The iconic Gordon Ramsay, megastar chef and Michelin-starred restaurateur, visited Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at The Londoner® Macao last week. During his first trip to the restaurant he delighted fans and invited guests by hosting a series of events that showcased both his talent and the delectable dishes that are available at the British gastropub.

The most glamourous was the red-carpet reception and exclusive event held on Jan. 10. The gourmet experience, a perfect example of the money-can't-buy events and one-of-a-kind experiences presented by Sands Lifestyle, began with Ramsay walking the red carpet with a British bulldog that almost stole the spotlight from the Michelin-starred chef. It was a memorable occasion for many, with the legendary chef happily chatting with VIP guests including Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office, and Cheng Wai Tong, Deputy Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office, and taking the time to pause for photos.

The internationally renowned chef also passed on his knowledge by holding an exclusive once-in-a-lifetime masterclass at The Londoner Macao for a small group of gastronomes. During the class he demonstrated the art of making the dessert, Knickerbocker Glory, with the participants enthusiastically following along. Ramsay explained he had chosen this to make as it is a sentimental childhood favourite, so much so that he included an elevated version on the menu of his first restaurant and many that followed. The version demonstrated at the masterclass is currently available on the week-day set lunch menu at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill.

Ramsay admirers had the opportunity to meet the chef the following day at a one-off lunch with reservations in high demand. The lunch featured an enticing three-course special menu, with dishes including Beetroot Cured Salmon, Beef Wellington and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

One of the highlights of the visit for Ramsay was hosting "Inspiring the Next Generation: A Conversation with Gordon Ramsay", a meaningful morning spent with Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) students from the Culinary Arts Management degree programme, and budding food and beverage entrepreneurs. The sharing session focused on his professional journey to becoming a globally recognised chef, addressing a wide range of topics, from his cooking philosophy through to career defining moments. The highly acclaimed chef also gave insightful advice to these rising stars about how best to navigate the competitive landscape to success.
