at Trip. Gourmet 2024 The Global Selection of Restaurants 

For the fourth year the definitive gourmet guide’s awards ceremony has been
held at Sands Resorts Macao showcasing Macao as a City of Gastronomy

Seven of Sands® Resorts Macao’s leading restaurants have been awarded prestigious ratings in the rebranded Trip. Gourmet 2024 The Global Selection of Restaurants. Co-organised by Sands China Ltd. and Trip.com Group, with the support of the Macao Government Tourism Office, an awards ceremony took place on Oct. 18, 2024 at The Londoner® Macao’s Ealing Ballroom. 


This is the fourth consecutive year that Sands China and long-term strategic partner Trip.com have joined forces to shine the spotlight on Macao as a City of Gastronomy, and the importance of gastronomic, cultural and tourism industry exchange. Sands China will continue to support the MGTO’s ‘tourism + gastronomy’ initiative, while enhancing Macao’s status of a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.

Under the theme of ‘Savour the World on Your Plate’ this year’s awards mark a rebranding of Trip.Gourmet. The Global Selection of Restaurants is now more aligned with the needs of tourists, and the previous awards strategy has been further integrated with travel, and now includes four distinct sections: fine dining, light bites, local restaurants, and views & experience.    

The influential awards include a guide to restaurants in 32 cities in Greater China and restaurants are judged on five categories: local characteristics, heritage and innovation, food, service and ambience, in order to create a comprehensive restaurant list. Selected restaurants are now awarded in three categories: Black Diamond, Diamond, and Platinum, providing instant and accurate dining recommendations for travellers. 

In addition to the awards ceremony, the Trip. Gourmet Gala Dinner was held on the same day, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR with a taste of Macao.

The Huaiyang Garden, The Londoner Macao
Curated by ‘The Godfather of Huaiyang Cuisine’ Zhou Xiaoyan, The Huaiyang Garden highlights the sublime flavours of timeless Huaiyang cuisine. Located in a tranquil space modelled after ancient Chinese gardens, guests can enjoy premium, authentic Huaiyang delicacies that offer taste and presentation perfection. Signature dishes include Shredded bean curd with crab meat and egg white in superior soup, Steamed Hilsa herring with 20-year-old Huadiao wine, and Braised Hokkaido sea cucumber with shrimp roe. 

La Chine, The Parisian Macao
Located on Level 6 of The Parisian Macao’s Eiffel Tower, La Chine boasts panoramic views of Cotai Strip. Executive Chinese Chef, Ben Lui, curates a true feast for the eyes and palate by showcasing Cantonese cuisine in its most authentic expression, further elevated by artistic presentation. Signature specialities include Smoked baby pigeon in lemongrass flavor, Poached Boston lobster in superior prawn broth served with crispy rice, Chilled Australian lobster, Braised beef rib and tendon with turnip, and Braised fish maw with superior broth.

Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill, The Londoner Macao
Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill is the first restaurant in Macao by world-renowned chef, Gordon Ramsay. The authentic and convivial British gastropub and steakhouse serves many Ramsay signatures including Beef Wellington, Fish & Chips and Sticky Toffee Pudding, alongside famous British dishes such as Slow-roasted pork belly glazed with cider vinegar, The London burger and Sunday roast. 

Jiang Nan by Jereme Leung, The Venetian Macao
Jiang Nan by Jereme Leung showcases the best of Jiangnan cuisine from renowned master chef Jereme Leung. Jiangnan cuisine encapsulates the authentic flavours of Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and through the use of high-quality ingredients and contemporary cooking techniques, Leung presents an elevated dining experience. Must-try dishes include Drunken crab in Shao Xing Huadiao wine, Jiang Nan style oven-baked fortune chicken, Eight treasures braised duck with glutinous rice, the legendary ‘Su Dong Po’ braised veal cheek, and Mahjong full house – a mouth-watering dessert based on Shanghai’s White Rabbit candy.

Pin Yue Xuan, The Venetian Macao
Premium Cantonese restaurant Pin Yue Xuan offers an immersive dining experience that reinterprets and refines the timeless southern Chinese culinary tradition. Stepping into the Siheyuan, an elegant and tranquil classic courtyard house, guests can enjoy innovative delicacies and handmade dim sum. Executive Chef, Darren Cheung, upholds the time-honoured traditions of Cantonese cuisine while adding an innovative touch to create a fine dining extravaganza. Signatures include Cantonese crispy baby pigeon, Braised streaky pork with preserved cabbage, Crispy sea cucumber filled with Iberico pork with salted fish, and exquisite hand-made dim sum.

Zi Yat Heen, Four Seasons Hotel Macao
Zi Yat Heen offers exquisite Cantonese cuisine including a dim sum menu, and a selection of high-end Chinese speciality teas, in a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. With his wealth of experience, Executive Chinese Chef, Anthony Ho, mesmerises guests with refined Cantonese classics that stay true to the essence of the cuisine. Signature dishes include Sautéed Kagoshima A5 Wagyu Beef Cubes, Boletus Mushroom, Black Pepper Sau and Roasted Crystal Shi-Qi Baby Pig.

The Manor, The St. Regis Macao
The Manor features contemporary European cuisine presented by noted Executive Sous Chef Michele Dell’Aquila. It offers an exquisite culinary experience with an emphasis on the finest, sustainably sourced ingredients from around the world. Signature favourites include traditional Italian pasta and risotto, and varieties of prime steak, including Stockyard Wagyu from Australia and Miyazaki Wagyu from Japan.
