The Innovation of Ink: Transformation and Reinvention of Oriental Aesthetics – Featured Exhibition of Wang Dongling & Xu Lei
The practice of contemporary ink painting has got rid of the narrow definition of medium and genre and entered a broader space for artistic expression. Like other art forms, ink painting has become a crucial part in the process of the construction of cultural self-consciousness.
To celebrate the inauguration of Sands China’s newest permanent art space, Sands Gallery, we are greatly honored to invite the distinguished art historian and professor, Julia F. Andrews to curate the very first headline exhibition, which is also considered as the most comprehensive and largest exhibition in Macao for the two world-renowned artists, Wang Dongling and Xu Lei.
• Date: 24 February – 20 March (Closed on 8 March)
• Time: 11:00am – 7:00pm
• Location: Sands Gallery, Level 6, The Grand Suites at Four Seasons
