Sands Resorts Macao Welcomes TravMedia’s 2019 International Media Marketplace Asia
(Macao, Oct. 25, 2019) – Sands Resorts Macao was chosen as the host venue for TravMedia’s International Media Marketplace Asia (IMM) and accompanying forum which took place at The Parisian Macao on Oct. 21-22, 2019 for over 100 top-tier Asia-Pacific media and travel industry delegates.
It was the first time the annual event was staged in Macao, a move which will place the increasingly important Asian hub further under the global spotlight as a key regional tourism destination.
IMM is the industry's leading platform for travel and tourism brands to meet the media. As a single-day networking and relationship-building opportunity for travel organisations and journalists.
Welcoming the media and travel industry representatives to the event, Kris Kaminsky, Senior Vice President of Resort Operations, Sands China Ltd., thanked the Macao Government Tourism Office and the TravMedia team for their support with IMM. “As the leading integrated resort here in Macao, Sands is proud to support events such as IMM – giving us the opportunity to showcase all we have to offer our key media partners.”
Appreciation was also shown to Sheraton Grand Macao, which hosted a Macanese-themed lunch buffet and Four Seasons Hotel Macao hosted the poolside closing party.
One of the highlights of IMM was the TravMedia Summit, a development conference where an influential panel of speakers discuss key topics facing the travel industry across public relations, brand narratives, global corporate messaging, digital storytelling and social media. Donna Campbell, Executive Director of Public Relations, Sands China Ltd., shared her insights and introduced upcoming project The Londoner® Macao to participants at the summit.
With around 12,500 rooms and suites, approximately 850 duty free shops, a wide array of international and local cuisine, world-class entertainment and more than 1.6 million square feet of flexible meeting space, Sands Resorts Macao provides an unsurpassed range of accommodation and facilities to suit events of any size or budget.
