Sands China President Visits Team Members Regarding Coronavirus Prevention Measures

(Macao, Feb. 6, 2020) – Sands China Ltd. senior executives joined company president Dr. Wilfred Wong in a visit to team members Thursday, to encourage and thank them for their dedication and continued support during this challenging period of time of the novel coronavirus.

“As the company implements safety measures to keep our patrons and our team members healthy, it is our team members that continue to provide the basic and necessary services needed to take care of our guests,” Dr. Wong said. “Management is working hard along with all team members, and is always ready to help them solve the problems encountered during this difficult time. The company’s existing measures to protect the health of guests and team members during this medical crisis are being strictly enforced and will continue to be monitored and strengthened as necessary. As a socially responsible company rooted in Macao, Sands China stands together with the people of Macao as the city unites to safeguard the health and safety of the public. We will fight this virus all together, the city will recover, and life will go back to normal soon.”

In the meantime, Sands China has scaled down the operations of its hotels, malls, dining and other facilities and services, in line with the Macao government’s call to avoid public gatherings and to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

During his visit, Dr. Wong encouraged and thanked team members from the security, food and beverage, and facilities departments, and reminded them to wash hands, be mindful of personal hygiene, and wear facemasks. He also encouraged team members from other departments to all follow the advice of the Macao SAR government, such as staying home as much as possible.
