CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN OPENS THE FIRST BOUTIQUE IN MACAU, INSPIRED BY HIS COSY APARTMENT IN PARIS
(Macao, July, 2020) – Christian Louboutin announces the opening of its first boutique in Macau, located within Shoppes at Four Seasons. The new boutique for men and women pays tribute to the designer's creative world.
Inspired by Christian Louboutin neoclassical apartment in Paris, the boutique “looks like a living room where women do not feel like they are in a store but in the home of a friend who loves them and knows them well.” says the designer. While giving the feeling of being in a familiar place, the space revisits the emblematic codes of the house from the signature red carpet to the iconic arches and niches. The façade enhances this Parisian atmosphere through a zinc patina framework, contrasted red ceramics tiles and a natural terracotta trimming.
The first room, featuring both men and women styles, is designed as a vestibule with, in its center a magnificent marble table. The walls are adorned with a flowered wallpaper painted by French artist Alexandre Poulaillon. Blue displays hang from the ceiling with raw ropes perfectly matching the fairy jungle atmosphere.
A deconstructed triple arch leads to a wide double-living room. Two sofas made of Pierre Frey audacious and eye-catching fabric and ceramic sconces by French artisan Jean Roger celebrate Christian Louboutin’s love for craftsmanship. An alcove covered with silk fabric houses a third sofa, creating a cozy cocoon within the boutique. Gold textured brass around the arched mirrors add a hint of modernity to this intimate boudoir.
The men’s collection is displayed in a third room conceived as a study. Fabrics go for more urban and masculine hues - from beige to crimson - while a made-to-measure ethnical canvas by French Manufacture Le Manach brings a stronger touch of colors to the room.
A selection of FW20 shoes and accessory collections for both women and men will be offered at Shoppes at Four Seasons.
