A delicious combination of great cuisine and art makes for intriguing one-off dishes at four signature restaurants
(Macao, July 1, 2019) – Sands Resorts Macao has launched special promotional menus at four of its signature restaurants to celebrate All That’s Gold Does Glitter – An Exhibition of Glamorous Ceramics. Participating restaurants include The Venetian® Macao’s The Golden Peacock and Portofino and The Parisian Macao’s La Chine and Brasserie, and menus are available from now until Aug. 31.
In support of Art Macao 2019, a major international art and culture event running until Oct. 9, All That’s Gold Does Glitter is a museum-quality exhibition featuring over 90 masterpieces from contemporary ceramic artists from 13 countries and regions, and the largest and most prestigious ceramic art exhibition taking place in the Greater Bay Area in 2019.
The Golden Peacock
The Venetian Macao’s Michelin one-star Indian restaurant The Golden Peacock is offering a four-course menu at MOP 588* inspired by a blue and white ceramic butterfly dress entitled ‘Prosperity’ created by renowned ceramic artist and All That’s Gold Does Glitter curator Caroline Cheng. Chef Justin and his team have recreated ‘Prosperity’ on a plate with two exceptional dishes: ‘Lobster Maheen Katli’ and the beautiful ‘Prosperity’ dessert which is decorated with gorgeous butterflies, featuring blueberries, hazelnut chocolate mousse, yogurt, cardamom, cherries and gold leaf.

Portofino
Portofino, the authentic Italian trattoria at The Venetian Macao, is presenting an Art Macao-inspired set menu at MOP 688*, featuring foie gras terrine, fagottini pasta with Castelmagno cheese and Kaluga caviar and premium New Zealand ‘Te Mana’ lamb. Diners will enjoy an artistic representation of the transition from spring to summer on the plate, with meringue ‘mushrooms’ popping out from a chocolate ‘soil’.

La Chine
The Parisian Macao’s La Chine restaurant is offering a tasting set menu priced at MOP 1,288*to delight both the eyes and the palate. The five-course French influenced Chinese menu crafted by Executive Chef Chung Kuy Fai is inspired by the ceramic masterpieces and theme of All That’s Gold Does Glitter. The menu starts with La Chine’s signature assorted appetisers, featuring escargot, foie gras, caviar and scallop – premium items from France, and ends with chocolate fondant with pumpkin ice cream which reflecting the All That’s Gold Does Glitter theme.

Brasserie
Brasserie launches ‘A Summer in Montmartre’ afternoon tea set, which is charmingly presented on a colourful artist’s palette. It is designed to take one’s taste buds on a gastronomy journey through Montmartre, home to many famous French artists. This delightful artist’s impression is priced at MOP 368* for two including tea or coffee and two cocktails or mocktails.
