(Macao, Sept. 5, 2019) – Over 30 Sands China team members, including senior management from various departments, visited the Mao Zedong Emerged in China photographic exhibition at the Handover Gifts Museum of Macao Thursday, to enhance their understanding of mainland China and their sense of national pride.

While there, they went on a guided tour in order to gain a deeper understanding of the exhibition, which focuses on the works exhibited at the Mao Zedong Memorial Museum in Shaoshan. The exhibition features various historical archive photographs accompanied by written descriptions. Replica photos are also being displayed to help the public gain deeper insights into Mao’s extraordinary life and ideology.

Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd., said: “This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region. Sands China was therefore very pleased to arrange a visit to this exhibition for our team members. This insightful exhibition allows our team members to learn more about how Chairman Mao Zedong created a modern China, in turn helping deepen their understanding and appreciation of the history and culture of mainland China.”
